We read the reviews about the staff not being friendly or helpful however we decided to stay. Good thing we did because they were awesome. We think it is just the language barrier that some people might find rude. Breakfast was great - location brilliant, walking distance to Moulin Rouge and Metro station.
Vintage Hostel is def the best place to stay. Staff is friendly not to mention the location. The hotel is right by Gare du Nord train station which is on the same train line as CDG airport. It took us about 25-30mins to get to the hostel from the airport. You would appreciate this location even more due to the fact that Gare du nord is in Zone 1 and most of the “to be places” of paris are all in Zone. would recommend a day pass 5.90 Euros. Two thumbs up for Vintage Hostel, would stay there again when next time we visit paris…
More like a hotel than a hostel. Wifi in the rooms in general, rooms are fairly large, some with balconies, and housekeeping cleans every day, though not terribly thoroughly. Overall a good deal for the money, especially in Paris.
A perfect place for a “touch and go” (1 night for me and my friends). Good breakfast, perfect location (7 minute from Gare du Nord, by walk). The rooms are quite small, but perfect if you see at the price. I’ll recommend this hostel to friends.
This place was great! About 5 min walk away from Sacre Coeur, which is a great place to hang out. Close to all other major attractions. Helpfull staff, and a decent breakfast.
I stayed here with my cousin for two nights in late June. The place is honestly really nice for what we paid (74e a night for a double room, breakfast included). We were on the 6th floor, but there is an elevator (and air conditioning in the rooms!), so it wasn’t an issue, really. Whenever we did take the stairs we felt pretty smug about the workout… I have no complaints whatsoever about the staff or accommodations (okay, our shower was slow to drain), but I can see how someone with no French could have a different impression. Frankly, for our purposes it was just about perfect. There is an amaaaaazing restaurant not too far away, by l’Eglise Vincent de Paul–Chez Casimir. Look it up!!
